Week of July 23rd
Yes, this rain is a bit depressing, isn't it! So now we need to learn to be creative with our training time. While walking outside is optimal, sometimes Mother Nature is not cooperative. Mall walking is a great opportunity...plus it could turn into a fundraiser. Wear your 3-Day shirt and talk to everyone about what you are doing! Your training session could definitely be a bonus!

Looking for "Stroller" walkers....
I am looking for anyone who has children which makes it difficult for them to attend our training walks.
I have had a few requests and I wanted to see if we have any so maybe we can form a "stroller" walk....very unofficial and strollers will be allowed!

The plan is to walk west to mile 0 for snacks and water and then back to marker 5 for a total of 10 miles. After a light lunch, continuing east to marker 7.5 and back to marker 5 and then west again 1.5 miles and back for a total of 18.
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN HYDRATION AND SNACKS. THIS IS A MUST. IT HAS BEEN VERY HOT AND YOU WILL NEED THEM.
After walking 10 miles we are stopping to eat a light lunch and change socks before continuing. Anthony will have an ice chest in his car for your lunches.

Training week...
We have a couple walks coming up this week. Tuesday at Lake Eola and Saturday in Dr. Philips. I will post each on this blog as well.
Chicago walkers are at 15 weeks...yikes.
Atlanta walkers start this week!
Tampa walkers have one more week before "official" training starts.
Arizona walkers still have a little bit of time to still sleep in too! ;)

Happy Belated Tax Day!
Anthony is doing a walk on Saturday morning in Clermont....can you say hills? ;) The next scheduled walk I have is Thursday, April 26th at Rose Place Park in Metrowest and then May 1st at Lake Eola. I am working on planning a walk on May 5th in the Dr. Philips area...hopefully working with New Balance! I will keep you posted!

Training Reminder
I hope everyone is getting ready for a great 2007 3-Day season. I see we have a various of cities that everyone will be visiting this year.
As you can see, I have posted a few training walks for this month. I know several of you are very anxious to start training....which is great. Just keep in mind that I am posting walks based on the Chicago walk training schedule.
I also will not be posting walks as regularly as last year. I will post at least one walk per week through the end of June and then at least two walks per week through August 9th.
There is also an orientation for walkers and crew this Saturday at the Orange County library downtown. Check the 3 day page for more details.
